I have experience in teaching and tutoring. I taught children at Buzz for kids and tutored at the University of Pretoria.

My summary

Before and after graduating, I have always been in one way or another, involved with music. My
experiences culminated into my career branching off into various divisions in music such as performing, competing and teaching.

I studied classical voice and piano at the National School of the Arts then obtained my BMus from the University of Pretoria in 2019.

During my time at the university, I majored in jazz vocals and piano. I obtained distinctions in jazz vocal performance which led to many opportunities including being a shadow jury for the Unisa International Jazz Singing Competition and singing with the Brukner University Big band to name a few.

I was a finalist for the Javette Music Competition (2018) and I was also fortunate to have
taken part in masterclasses with international jazz singers during the Unisa International Singing
Competition in 2018. These singers include Judy Niemack, Carla Cook, Humphrey Campbell, Jeff Ramsey and Trudy Kerr. I have attended festivals and workshops such as the TUT Jazz Summer Workshop, International Jazz Voice Seminar and Grahamstown National Jazz Festival.

I was a tutor in Jazz Improvisation for first-year students, researching and compiling a study guide and material. I taught beginner jazz improvisation techniques and assisted students with skills in jazz improvisation.
